Our Process – 5 Thorough Steps

  1. Arrival – Our technician shows up on time, in uniform and in a clearly marked vehicle. We are courteous and professional, holding an A+ Rating with the Better Business Bureau signifying outstanding customer service. We greet you at the door, wear shoe covers in your home, and confirm with you all the work that will be done in your home before starting. PROCLEAN has been a trusted name in the carpet cleaning industry for over 30 years (established in 1988). We are accredited professionals following only the highest quality cleaning standards.
  2. Air Duct Inspection and Basic Cleaning – Our certified and experienced air duct technician will perform a full inspection of you air duct system upon arriving at your home. The necessary cleaning methods will be determined by the technician and he will then get your direct approval before beginning any air duct cleaning work within your home. Upon receiving approval, the technician will begin the basic cleaning stage of your air ducts by attaching a HEPA powered air vacuum to the main air duct in your home, and then cleaning each and every individual vent in your home using 350mph of air pressure from our specialized air compressor while the HEPA vacuum is simultaneously cleaning your air ducts.
  3. Evaporator Coil & Blower Motor Cleaning-Upon performing a thorough inspection and basic cleaning of your air duct system, our certified technician will access the evaporator coil and blower motor of your HVAC system, typically located near the furnace, in order to perform a specialized cleaning of both components. We lather both the evaporator coil and blower motor with a powerful, specialized foam cleaning solution, and use an HVAC brush in order to remove all dirt, dust, bacteria and other contaminants from the evaporator coil. Finally, we use 350mph of air pressure from our truck-mounted air compressor to remove all excess contaminants from both components of your HVAC system. After a rigorous cleaning of both the evaporator coil and blower motor, we then apply our specialized and EPA approved (Environmental Protection Agency) mold treatment and remediation formula formula in order to remove all mold and mildew spores that may be contaminating your HVAC components.
  4. Mold Remediation and Treatment-After our technician has performed a thorough basic cleaning of your HVAC system and rigorous cleaning of your evaporator coil and blower motor, our technician will then prepare for our mold treatment and remediation procedure by changing into a HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials) mold suit in order to protect against the hazardous mold and dangerous toxins that will be removed from your air duct system. We then perform an extreme deep cleaning of your air duct system by using our specialized pneumatic air whip machine. The tentacle-like whips of this machine will physically contact and clean the surface of your air ducts, removing all traces of bacteria & mold colonies that can be attached to the surface of your air duct walls. Our air whip is rigorously passed through your air ducts multiple times. Finally our technician will use an atomizer machine in order to disperse our specialized and EPA approved (Environmental Protection Agency) mold remediation formula throughout your entire air duct system, killing all mold spores & bacteria upon direct contact.
  5. Customer Approval & Departure– As accredited members of the NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association), not only do we get your direct approval before starting any of the work in your home, but once our work is completed, we do not leave until you are absolutely satisfied with the job we have done. We provide professional air duct cleaning & guarantee the quality of our work. Here at PROCLEAN your satisfaction is our number one goal, and we go above and beyond to make sure that each and every customer is satisfied with the prices and services that we have provided!

PROCLEAN Mold Remediation & Treatment

We spend most of our time indoors; however, we are unaware of the health risks indoor pollutants can create. Mold is an extremely common & hazardous dilemma. From allergies to skin rashes, mold can cause a wide range of health problems, and those with suppressed immune systems (children and the elderly) are particularly susceptible to its effects. Mold is everywhere and can be harmless, but if you’ve been experiencing aggravated health problems, mold could be the cause.

HVAC systems create a lot of moisture. If unmanaged, moisture combined with a warm environment, can be a breeding ground for mold throughout your air ducts and on your evaporator coil and blower motor. Once in your system, it can be difficult to remove without the proper tools

Conditions That Promote Mold Growth:

  • Moisture or source of water
  • Food source/nutrients for mold spores (dust, dander, etc.)
  • Warmth and high temperatures
  • Darkness and minimal light
  • Aerated spaces or air flow

Concerned You Might Have Mold?

If you are concerned that mold is a problem in your HVAC system, follow these simple steps:

  • Contact the PROCLEAN office to schedule an appointment. Our professionals are trained and certified in cleaning and managing your HVAC system, including mold and mildew hazards
  • Have a PROCLEAN expert clean your HVAC system to drain away moisture, preventing any accumulation and areas for mold to propagate.
  • If mold is identified, have the mold removed immediately by a PROCLEAN technician.
  • Prevent a recurrence of mold by having a PROCLEAN technician install a UV LIGHT SYSTEM.

Molds can act as dangerous allergens, pathogens and toxins. Here at PROCLEAN, we offer effective and safe mold remediation. During our process, the mold will be contained, killed, removed and treated. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), most remediation jobs, especially the larger or toxic jobs, should be handled by a qualified professional like PROCLEAN with Ventilation System Mold Remediation (VSMR) certified technicians. We follow the most rigorous industry protocols, as dictated by the National Air Duct Cleaner Association (NADCA). We will solve your mold problem.

Have any concerns about mold or mildew? We’d be happy to inspect and correct the problem. Call PROCLEAN today!

The number one reason to clean your air ducts and HVAC system is to prevent mold from growing.

Assessment

The first step in an assessment is to determine if mold is present. This is done by visually examining the premises. If mold is growing and visible, this will help determine the level of mold remediation that is necessary. If mold is actively growing and is visibly confirmed, sampling for specific species of mold is unnecessary.

Careful detailed visual inspection and recognition of moldy odors should be used to find problems that require correction. Efforts should focus on areas where there are signs of liquid moisture or water vapor (humidity) or where moisture problems are suspected. The investigation goals should be to locate indoor mold growth, to determine how to correct the moisture problem, and remove contamination safely and effectively.

Is Sampling/Testing For Mold Necessary?

In general, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) does not recommend mold testing or sampling unless an occupant of the space is symptomatic. PROCLEAN professionals can perform mold testing if necessary at an additional charge.

Sampling should only be conducted to answer a pertinent question:
Examples: “What is the spore concentration in the air?”, or “Is a particular species of fungi present in the building?”

The following additional question should be asked before sampling: “What action can or should a person take upon obtaining data?”

How To Control Mold Growth In HVAC Systems, What To Do:

Mold in HVAC systems is a common problem. By their nature, HVAC systems create a lot of moisture and if left unmanaged, this moisture, combined with warm environments, can be a breeding ground for mold in your HVAC system. Once in your system, it can be hard to remove without using the right tools. It can also be harmful to your health, especially if you suffer from respiratory or immune deficiency health issues.

If you discover mold and mildew in your HVAC system, utilize a few common sense steps by following this list:

  • Contact our office to schedule an appointment. PROCLEAN air duct professionals are trained in cleaning and managing your HVAC system, including mold and mildew related HVAC problems.
  • Our technicians will identify any blockages and clean them. This will allow the system to drain away any and all moisture, preventing any accumulation and areas for mold to propagate.
  • Once mold is identified, it must be removed. PROCLEAN is a certified member of the NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) for air duct cleaning and mold remediation. We use only the most effective products approved by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) for in-home use in order to remove all mold from your air ducts in the safest manner possible.
  • Once the mold and mildew have been removed from your HVAC system, prevent a recurrence by having your PROCLEAN technician install one of our UV LIGHT AIR FILTRATION SYSTEMS. It prevents the re-growth of mold and mildew in air duct and HVAC systems.
